Sometimes as Christians we disassociate trusting God’s plan for our life from setting personal goals for ourselves. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I used to believe that by pursuing my goals, I would counteract God’s plan and what He might have for me. It’s not true! Scripture encourages us to follow and chase, pursue and focus on our goals to achieve success. The key isn’t the success, the key is Who gets credit and what success makes us into. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Growing up in Sunday School Philippians 4:13 is definitely one of the first Bible verses you have memorized perfectly...(mostly because you got to pick out a special prize from the treasure box for doing so)..but that’s besides the point. 😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The point is... I can remember how safe and strong I felt, as I stood tall and spoke that scripture out loud in front of my Sunday school class... it’s like I KNEW and BELIEVED with all of my heart that I really could do anything in the world because I had God’s muscles 💪🏻 and not that of a 7 year old little girl. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Where does that same confidence and trust in His perfect strength seem to go, as we slowly grow up and into our adult selves? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We may be adults but we are still children of God. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
